Honoring our Armed Forces at Four Seasons at Elm Tree
Posted on Oct 28th, 2016 Comments (0)
As an over-55 community, it isn't difficult for us to know many Armed Forces' veterans from so many branches of the services and to spend time honoring them in November. The monthly newsletter is filled with two pages of our neighbors' names, their years and branch of service. No doubt there are shared stories and some too tough to tell.
We gather together for a chance to say thank you, to pay our respects with a flag-raising, some light refreshments and a special time listening to songs from our own Four Seasons Singers. We hear of the younger generation, some of our grandchildren, deployed to duties around the world.

Four Seasons at Elm Tree is filled with active people enjoying the choices of retirement, or almost! The Fourth Season

If we begin with The Winter Season as The First Season, let's consider upcoming Autumn as The Fourth Season! Here, at Four Seasons at Elm Tree, we continue to overlap seasonal fun. But the September 22 Equinox will herald fall activities even though some of them have begun already.
Our swimming pool and hot tub have closed, but neighbors back from the beach are signing up with us for bowling, exercising or pickleball. In an active over-55 community, the calendar can fill easily! Especially inviting are the Bagel Bash and Covered Dish Suppers, returning as our numbers increase again
