HERE WE GO!
If anything means AUTUMN in the Northeast, it’s color! Many travel here particularly to see acres and miles of trees with leaves of the color palette; red, orange, gold, yellow with many tones in between!
Living in Four Seasons at Elm Tree, Mount Joy, PA brings us daily views of traditional seasonal harvesting, piles of pumpkins, fall’s colorful mums, and local fresh produce stands. Corn mazes and festivals are frequently offered for our fun with family and friends throughout Lancaster County.
As October continues, our own community can enjoy many popular activities in our clubhouse, plus additional plans for Book Club, movie reviews, the bowling league, a special flu shot clinic which is planned especially for us, new locations of the men’s and women’s luncheons.
Cooler weather will have us bring in the patio furniture and settle more indoors, unless we’re outdoors attending football or soccer games. Many of us happily are preparing for Hallowe’en as it ends the month. Of course, we must turn the clocks back as sunsets become earlier; the equinox has passed.
However, volunteering among the many committees here brings new ideas and more capable people managing them. Checking the monthly newsletter and calendar are easy, reliable aids for updated information.
“Don’t talk to me of solemn days/
In autumn’s time of splendor.” …Paul Laurence Dunbar
