Autumn to Winter
’Tis the season…for all of us at Four Seasons at Elm Tree to be so grateful for our independent living in such delightful surroundings! We don’t have to go out in snow and don’t have to shovel it, either. The landscaping contractor is tidying our lawns and planted areas; soon the piles of decorative pumpkins will change to holiday greens.
We’ve voted, scheduled some new evening programs at the clubhouse especially focused for our over-55 community, and celebrated Veteran’s Day quite well, including our famous Four Seasons Singers’ performance.
The new refurbishment of the great room in the clubhouse has begun; we chose a blue accent color and attractive, more practical furniture. Ideas to further this endeavor include new logo items and 50-50 raffles at our ongoing activities.
The women enjoyed a comedy theater luncheon and now are thinking about decorating the clubhouse before their annual holiday gathering there. Golfers’ clubs are being stored while bikes and cycles still run around now and then. Indoor dancing and workout room exercise will help reduce the Thanksgiving meal’s abundance.
Colder days mean warm fires and aromas from more baking and home cooking. Helping hands and thankfulness happen here year ‘round!
