We have draped pine garlands around windows and doors, hung twinkling lights on the trees outdoors and indoors, mounted figures in the mulched areas near our houses, placed wreaths of many kinds on front doors, and windows! Wow! Four Seasons at Elm Tree is quite the showplace for the holiday season. Watch for slowly driven cars with people's necks craned to catch the views! Just wandering through on foot, as so many of us do, is a very pleasant experience these days.
The clubhouse was decorated beautifully awhile ago, making our customary meetings and gatherings there even more a pleasure. A community-wide dinner to help celebrate the holidays is planned as a new activity there. And the much-anticipated Four Seasons Singers Holiday Concert in the great room will have music ringing from the rafters. I'm sure many of us over-55 neighbors will be humming carols all the way home. Just before Christmas, community friends plan to come a 'caroling to our front doors, so we're preparing extra hot chocolate and cookies!
However, like many Lancaster Countians, we are so surprised to see blooms like irises and roses out here and there, enjoying the unseasonably warmer weather lately. Some of us gardeners wonder if the bulbs or budding trees will make it until spring! But nicer weather has allowed the Landscape Contractors to spruce up the neighborhood, plus it has made it easier for our newest neighbors to move into their brand new homes. We are now built out completely to a 245 single homes community! There are plans to celebrate that, too!
It certainly is easy to relax and celebrate many things here at Four Seasons at Elm Tree!
