     Our over-55 community, here in Mount Joy, PA, is built out with over 240 single houses peopled by us who have tried to plan ahead for our aging years. So many organizations, including AARP, have promoted knowledge of housing for the future that it seems overwhelming at times. But, doing nothing brings just that...no real knowledge of what is best to be done.
      Four Seasons at Elm Tree provides security and amenities that are very desirable after our former homes became empty, the yards and grounds were too much to manage and the neighborhoods were too far from what we need. We have downsized to comfortable houses of various designs with basic features supporting aging lifestyles. Safe and affordable housing here comes with us  volunteering on all the committees which help run our community. WE decide.
     Staying in their homes is on top of the list of older people. Changing location to a simpler house without stairs, with wider doorways, grab-bars in the bath, step-free entries, for example, brings us to a much more carefree retirement. Our location allows us easy shopping, dining, medical facilities, the benefits of colleges nearby and fun with grandchildren as we enjoy the towns around us, the local parks and paths.
