Shaking the House
Posted on Apr 17th, 2018
We balanced our eggs, but spring waited for more snow to pass! Contrary to Percy Bysshe Shelley: “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?; it was.
More time could be spent, however, preparing for the next season, whenever it came to us at Four Seasons at Elm Tree. Besides the bug to spring-clean, some cultures “shake the house” by adding the organization of their budgets and the mending of their friendships to their tasks.
Here, in our over-55 community, we now see more service trucks for HVAC system checks, hard-used during this past winter, as well as vans for new furnishings, and carpet cleaning. Our landscape contractors got an early start before being thwarted by weather but are back in action sprucing up our yards and neighborhood! How nice to sit back and not have to own and operate so many outdoor tools anymore!
With more activity having us dancing to DJ Stan again, enjoying the next scheduled covered dish supper, noting the ongoing Happy Hours, seasonal additions such as Bocce and Pickleball soon will resume, too.
Earth Day plans are all over Lancaster County, getting us outdoors to help and appreciate Mother Nature better. So, we’re coming out of hibernation at long last, removing stagnant energy while promoting our over-55 zest for living as well as we can! Shake it up!
