EARTH MONTH
Posted on Apr 1st, 2023
The Ides and equinox are last month; the land blooming again,
bringing us colors and health are this month! Here at Four Seasons at Elm
Tree, landscapers are edging, mowing, fertilizing for us, giving us even
more hours of daylight now for choosing many activities.
Community singers are rehearsing Broadway tunes for their next
performance for us; clubhouse gatherings are offered on the monthly
calendar with details in our newsletter, too. Exercising is always happening
either at morning group sessions or in our own workout room. Of course,
walking the neighborhood or park paths now is more pleasurable, noticing
trees budding, flowers planted, meeting neighbors along the routes.
Our golfers have regrouped for many days of games; Pickleball and
tennis will resume soon as well. Many of us will be traveling across
Lancaster County to watch grandchildren’s sports’ events. Our community
yard sale soon has some of us clearing out well, hoping for even better
spring cleaning afterwards…room to reorganize and bring cleaner spaces
during the month marked for “less is more” thinking. We know already
where to take recycling not listed for curbside pick-up.
“April brings the gentle rain that plip-plops on your windowpane.”
Maybe not so gentle, but plenty of it! Green grass and leaves are coming!
We’ll open the windows and doors, set the patios, and enjoy outdoor fun
again .
