Despite the intermittent rains this past week, our neighborhood scheduled Friday evening to hear some of our favorite tunes as a part of the program presented by The Four Seasons Singers during their annual spring concert at the clubhouse of Four Seasons at Elm Tree. As an over-55 community, most of us have enjoyed many varied music genres and always have appreciated our musical friends' diverse selections and voices. The singers have been traveling throughout Lancaster County and beyond to entertain many other fans during the year. We wish them a pleasant vacation and rest before their next year's calendar fills with rehearsals and road trips.
Just before the concert, the Women's Association's monthly luncheon was held in Marietta where we happily met a new neighbor, shared news and good food when the clouds opened to thunderous rain pelting the roof above. Some trail walks afterwards were missed and a few errands postponed, but we left in dryer, safer conditions. Next month, we're told that the Men's and the Women's Associations' luncheons are scheduled for the same restaurant on the same day... Venus and Mars in alignment during such unseasonable weather?
