Four Seasons at Elm Tree in Mount Joy, PA  always seems to be a community experiencing new things: a boon to over-55s here who are stimulated by good changes! Our latest fun comes from the switch to a salt water swimming pool! Opened on time for a warm Memorial Day weekend, the hot tub was ready and waiting as well.

      A schedule of food trucks is listed in our newsletter, so all of us can enjoy dinner together at ease by the clubhouse once again. Before we know it, fresh strawberries will be picked locally and be ready for freezing or eating. By chance, the June 14th moon is called the Strawberry Moon in eastern Indian lore. It’s also Flag Day, and we’ve always seen an array of American flags on residents’ houses among the petunias and marigolds.

      Our children and grandchildren will be around all summer, enjoying stays to catch up with us, celebrate Father’s Day or a graduation, and perhaps see the many local sites, from historic locations to tourist spots we might not have seen yet.

     Many of us have our beach days reserved for fun and relaxation. However, many of us also will continue to plan Pickleball, tennis, water aerobics, golf, walks, and regularly scheduled activities at the clubhouse.

     Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine!
