It is quite easy to become active and involved at Four Seasons at Elm Tree, our over-55 community in Mount Joy. Many of us volunteer, trying to keep residents aware of all offerings, created with so many people in mind.
As June begins the summer months, outdoor schedules include our swimming pool with water aerobics, evening supper gatherings, and holiday games and fun together. Continuing are the yoga and exercise programs, Bocce and tennis, almost daily Pickleball on the renovated court, and the Easy Riders’ bike group which is as you like it!
Our Four Seasons’ singers, The Seasonings, are planning a show to invite new members and perform what they do so well. We have learned to count on the monthly men’s and ladies’ luncheons at many new places and the Book Group’s discussions and reviews as well as our newest movie night with critiques.
So many of us participate and enjoy time together, but still know we can contribute to the Mount Joy Food Bank throughout the entire year. Our library’s book selection, the games and puzzles available in the clubhouse, prompt us to make a date for joining neighbors to relax together.
Time goes by in a blink! So quit something you don’t really love, and give yourself that time back. Try some new and different things this summer…SURPRISE YOURSELF!
