The Dry Month

…or so the Saxons deemed June! Named for the queen Goddess of Love, marriages were thought to be extra lucky this month. Many of us at Four Seasons at Elm Tree have anniversary dates to attest to that. However, Venus, the Goddess of Beauty, is shining more brightly now as we star gaze whenever the clouds allow!
With longer days, our over-55 community’s residents can spend more time outdoors lounging as all the landscaping around us is done. Perhaps Bocce, golf or pickle ball would be your exercise choice.
Of course, the swimming pool offers its own delights as friends and neighbors gather, sometimes for swim lessons or water aerobics. Hot Dog and Hamburger Nights there have begun again adding to our calendars. The new tables with warming centers make being together even more inviting after dusk.
If it rains or becomes cooler, there are so many clubhouse activities to keep us busy. Table games from Bridge to Mah Jong to Hand and Foot and more are scheduled, although anyone can have impromptu visits to piece together a puzzle, relax with a book or magazine from our library, or exercise in the work-out room.
As the fireflies flirt with their sparkly lights, we’ll look for Venus and the new moon soon, happy to be able to have our friends and family come enjoy so much with us as summer unfolds
