Equinox

Our sun will give us the longest day of the year on June 21, the summer solstice, when the sun appears to be standing still along the horizon. So, we’re ready for more daylight, fun times and sunshine here at Four Seasons at Elm Tree!
The hot tub and salt water swimming pool are open again; water aerobics have begun regularly along with the yoga and exercising sessions indoors. Card and Bocce players, gardeners, library users, golfers, hiking members, path walkers…all are eager to continue being outdoors. It’s to be a hotter summer ahead, but vacations, beach time, grandkids will add to the season’s pleasures. Hot Dog & Burger Nights and Happy Hours at the clubhouse have us gathering whenever the calendar allows!
More daylight can mean more must-dos and to-dos are accomplished well. Nice to cross off items on our lists! But, time, not money, is our most precious resource. So, we shall enjoy time with people, not chores so much. Retirement gives us such options.
Flag Day, Father’s Day, and Juneteenth will be celebrated during June as well as several wedding anniversaries among us. Many of us will attend graduations and weddings. The Pickleball players have a tournament planned with a neighboring community…good competition!
Now, it’s easy to enjoy searching for the freshest local strawberries or watermelon with so many farm stands around us as we explore newer areas of our county. Improve the moments of opportunity by catching the good within our reach, the great art of life itself!
