Sirius Heat!
The so-named Dog Days of Summer ended August 11, according to historic data. But, we know the Dog Star has remained above much longer. Four Seasons at Elm Tree's neighborhood has not let a very hot summer stop all of us from regular activities.
The swimming pool and its related Hot Dog Nights have attracted many of us after our own busy days around town and home. Enjoying the new pavilion by the pool has been an added pleasure. Taking a dip in the pool after Pickleball at the nearby courts is an easy way to cool down quickly!
In an over-55 community, we appreciate the volunteering required for our ongoing monthly newsletter and organized library, even during sultry summer months. So many of us continue to keep all running well in between vacations and company! There are often new ideas and people to help make them happen.
The Women's Association held their annual Pack-A-Backpack collection for the local Rainbow's End Youth Organization in Mount Joy. You should see and read how many delightful Thank You notes we received, which are posted on the clubhouse bulletin board. Lets us know that with school reopening soon, the stars will realign for bright autumn days ahead.
