     Four Seasons at Elm Tree, an over-55 community in Mount Joy, PA,  is continuing to stay busy throughout this summer of crazy weather of high temperatures and tropical rains. In between our travels and company, we are enjoying the salt water pool, water aerobics there, morning exercising, Bocce, Pickleball, golf, and now, biking is presented as a new option for fun and exercise. 

     Of course, the Social Committee schedules various activities we find on the monthly calendar, in the cooler clubhouse as well as on the veranda. Happy Hours and Hot Dog & Hamburger Night are upcoming. The monthly Men’s and Ladies’ Luncheons are planned at local restaurants for more gatherings. 

     Some us watch the NASA satellite flying above us when the timing and clarity is agreeable. The Sturgeon Moon will shine August 1st, the first of two full moons this month! Once in a blue moon is known to us as something occurring very occasionally. Referencing that, we’ll see 

the Blue Moon on August 30th. Folklore mentions two full moons in the same period as extra, termed “Blue”, nothing to do with its coloring. 

     Spend August days with friends and family under leafy shade, or at a spot with icy lemonade!
