THANKFUL
Each week has become a bit colder, more October-like, colors changing trees, heat must be turned on, then… it’s November! Hallowe’en and Day of the Dead have morphed into Thanksgiving and the big Christmas holiday season! Orange and black to brown and yellow to red and green…
Here in our Four Seasons at Elm Tree neighborhood, we’re finding our fleece and wool clothes, enjoying apple and pumpkin scents and foods, trimming perennials, planning for company, and traveling to family.
Immediately, Election Day is here; our newsletter has noted important information for us. Location, times, how to get to the polls. The annual budget meeting of our Board also is an important note to make so we’re sure to attend. With 242 houses here in Four Seasons at Elm Tree, we should have a wonderful, attentive turnout. Board updates are vital to what we know and can manage as we age well here.
Our Seasons Singers will have a program to add to the Veterans’ Day tribute; so many are listed in the current newsletter.
For fun, we have many monthly activities ongoing; added now will be a crafts’ day, Trivia game evening, a dance with our favorite DJ Stan, and we’ll gather to decorate the clubhouse near the end on the month. Of course, we continue to contribute to our Mount Joy Food Bank, however, the annual Scouting for Food collection is scheduled so we may participate conveniently.
Each day will be planned with enjoyable busyness with friends and neighbors. Make sure to be with everyone, happy and well.
